During the „Forum of Rectors of European Union and Central Asia Higher Education Institutions” that was held in Astana on 24th June 2017, UIB Vice President Marcin Duszynski presented his speech “Hosting internationalisation – cost-effectiveness and high impact”.

In his speech, our Vice President focused on emerging needs of Kazakhstan’s higher education sector in terms of developing „incoming” internationalisation: opening RK for entry of foreign universities (beneficial to RK students), recruitment of full-time students (undertaking entire degrees in RK on a paid-basis), recruitment of administrative and academic staff, whose knowledge, skills and contacts would accelerate RKs development. Internationalising Kazakhstan’s higher education must be a „two-way” process, strengthening the internal processes and providing opportunities for all students and staff to learn about the workings of other nations, economies, societies.
